Theme:

Why are people always on the move?

Do you have a story about you or your family to share with others that explains why you have been on the move in the past? Perhaps you have been a refugee, or your parents have a job that takes them to many different locations? You may live in a rural or remote area that requires you to travel long distances to get groceries or your family may have had a holiday that involved travelling large distances.

Project Outline:

We invite schools globally to become involved in our project. We are new to iEARN and keen to form new partnerships.
There are a number of ways schools can participate. Participating Schools are expected to seek permission to publish their students work in this project. Safety on the internet principles will be applied to student work and images. We will be using MS Moviemaker to edit the video.
To do this, the teachers have designed a global web project in collaboration with Jo Tate which will involve their students and students around the world in wondering about this question and also in working with contemporary technologies in a meaningful way. This project will be hosted through the I-EARN organisation.

How to join

Students globally are invited to send any of the following and include a photo of themselves if they wish (only first name and country will appear with the photos for safety reasons)…

· Video pod-cast of 1 – 2 minutes explaining their own personal story of why people are always on the move or their creative reflections/ideas on issues related to the costs to our planet

OR

  • A drawing or series of digital photos and typed paragraph explaining their personal story or their creative reflections/ideas on issues related to the costs to our planet
OR

  • An audio pod-cast of their voice explaining their personal story or their creative reflections/ideas on issues related to the costs to our planet
